Practical, ethical marketing and digital skills support, training and mentoring. Designed for real organisations with limited time and resources.
I work with charities, community organisations, and purpose-led individuals who are doing important work, but don’t always have the time, confidence, or capacity to shout about it.
Too often, organisations feel pressure to “do more marketing” without the skills, support, or headspace to do it well. Communications become reactive, overwhelming, or pushed to the bottom of the list. That’s where I come in.
My role is to help organisations communicate with confidence and clarity, in ways that feel ethical, and sustainable. I don’t believe in quick fixes, buzzwords, or one-size-fits-all strategies. Instead, I work alongside people to build practical skills, and create communications they can realistically maintain.
Everything I do is grounded in real-world experience of the third sector, from fundraising and content creation to training, mentoring, and digital inclusion. I understand the pressures charities face, and I design support that works within those constraints.
Whether through training, consultancy, or hands-on support, my aim is always the same:
to help organisations reach the right audiences, inspire meaningful engagement, and secure the support they need to continue their work long into the future, leaving a lasting legacy for the people and communities they serve.
Practical training designed to build confidence.
My training supports charities and community organisations to develop the skills and confidence they need to manage their own communications effectively. Sessions are interactive, jargon-free, and rooted in real examples, helping participants leave with practical tools they can use straight away.
Training focuses on:
Outcome: organisations feel more confident, capable, and in control of their communications.

Support that strengthens capacity, not dependency.
My consultancy services provide tailored communications support for organisations that need strategic guidance, mentoring, or hands-on help. I work collaboratively, transferring knowledge and building internal confidence so organisations are better equipped long after our work together ends.
Consultancy can support:
Outcome: clearer messaging, stronger engagement, and more sustainable approaches to promotion and fundraising.
This comprehensive, plain-English guide offers practical support for charity leaders, fundraisers, and comms professionals who want to do marketing well, without losing sight of their values.
Written by Linzi Jones MSc, a charity marketing strategist with 20+ years' experience in the sector, the book is packed with actionable advice, real-world examples, templates, and ethical guidance.
It covers everything from audience mapping and brand voice to campaign planning, digital tools, emotional storytelling, legal compliance and post-campaign review.

"This is a fantastic action-orientated book. Linzi is passionate and very knowledgeable, which shines in this book. Getting to the point is key. Promoting a learning culture is a big takeaway from this and recent studies of the 'fifth discipline', to evolve and improve messaging and impact of propose-driven comms. Highly recommended! "

"Loved this book. Packed with practical info, and is in an easy-to-read format. I was pleasantly surprised by just how comprehensive it is, as it includes fundraising and volunteer support, as well as digital advertising, social media, and SEO. I'd say this is the perfect book for charities and social enterprises that want to learn how to get themselves heard."
